I’d like to share an experience that I had when I went to McDonalds the other day. It seems like when I wanted to order my meal it was much more convenient to go to one of these self-service kiosks rather than to the person behind the till. It gives me convenience and I could change my order at anytime I wanted.
Now how does this relate to chemical distribution where people say that personal relationship is all important — you need to speak to the person on the other side of the line. Now if McDonalds reports an increase of 5% sales through having self-service kiosks it can only be a good thing for chemical distribution to move towards this direction as well. When you place order and if there is any trouble you can always go to the person behind the till.
I believe chemical distribution is moving towards this direction: empowering customers to manage their orders online. You can still sell your chemicals through personal relationship, through visiting customers, phoning them or placing email orders; but I believe that an online platform has a space and it will disrupt the traditional way of selling chemicals. Impratech provides a way for you to sell directly to your customers online. Request for your free trial.
